Platform Rules
1. General Conduct
- Treat all users with respect. Harassment, threats, or abuse will result in an immediate ban.
- No impersonation of other users, admins, or moderators.
- Do not create multiple accounts to circumvent bans or listing limits.
- Do not attempt to manipulate, inflate, or fake reputation reviews.
2. Listings
- Only post games you actually own and intend to trade.
- Listings must be accurate. No misleading titles or descriptions.
- Do not post listings for items unrelated to game trading.
- Spam listings are prohibited and will be removed without warning.
- Accounts with VAC or Trade bans should be disclosed and may be restricted.
3. Bidding
- Only place bids you genuinely intend to honor.
- Fake bids placed only to drive up prices are strictly prohibited.
- Bidders must have the ability to pay in the method specified.
- Withdrawing bids frequently without good reason may result in account restrictions.
4. Trading
- All actual transactions happen directly between users on Steam.
- SteamVault is a facilitation platform only. We do not hold funds, guarantee trades, or act as middlemen.
- Once a bid is accepted, both parties are expected to follow through in good faith.
- We strongly recommend checking a user's reputation score and Steam profile before trading.
5. Reputation
- Only leave reviews for users you have actually traded with.
- Reviews must be honest and based on your genuine experience.
- You may update a review you have previously left, but cannot submit multiple reviews for the same user.
- False negative reviews ("rep bombing") are a bannable offense.
6. Disclaimer
SteamVault is not responsible for any failed trades, payment disputes, or scams that occur between users. Use this platform at your own risk. Always verify the identity and reputation of trading partners before completing any transaction. We recommend using Steam's trade offer system for in-game items.
